My favourite scent used to be the smell of laundry detergent. I loved when I walked down the street and my nose hit the warm smell of dryer sheets from a building’s vents. It was clean. It was cozy.

When I was pregnant with Bellamy we were using Gain laundry detergent. I developed an sharp aversion to the smell. To this day, I still can’t stand it. You’d be surprised how many people use it! And every time I smell it, it sends a message to my brain that makes me smell pee and want to gag. Scent is such a powerful sense. My love for the smell of most laundry detergents is now gone which, weirdly enough, makes me quite sad.

Something that has helped me mourn the loss recently is the scent of lemon. Lemon smells clean. It does not smell cozy, however, unless you mix it with something so I’m working on finding and making the right combo with essential oils. I diffuse a mix of lemon, lime & pine essential oils in my diffuser that I found at Winners but it’s not the greatest. I found lemon deodorant I like:  http://amzn.to/2ssV7XI. I bought cleaners I love: http://amzn.to/2Gcwrov. Also hand soap: http://amzn.to/2Cmdqh2. And even laundry detergent: http://amzn.to/2szmmzS.

If you have a favourite lemon-scented product I’d love for you to share it with me.

In this vlog I speak of my new love: MY LATEST CLEANING OBSESSION
